Of Finals and Quick week

I wonder who can stop the amazing Federer. Yes, he is in the final again. Only his opponent this time is Gonzales who has squashed Nadal in quarterfinal and beaten Haas in semi yesterday. Hmm looking good, (his game I mean!) probably he’ll be among few players who can beat Federer? We’ll see this Sunday lah. And in ladies event we will see Sharapova will go against S.Williams, Interesting, both are having such loud grunts! It’ll be fun.
I feel like the past 5 days past me by ..just like that! Nothing much had happened at office anyway, except on Thursday there was a launching event of Gallery or sumthing. Office area was swarmed with invited guests and VIP. I joined few colleagues checking out the guests from our 4th floor office, looking down and scanning for the 2nd Finance Minister who came to replace DPM. Well, no such luck. We just continue with our stuff and by 5.45 pm when I came down to foyer, few meters away the chairman, MD and Company Secretary are bidding farewell to the 2nd Finance Minister himself, huh! Kinda sweet jugak orangnya. Hitam manis! Hehe
Weekend is here, and tomorrow I’ll probably just do my laundry and off to Seri/Fir wedding on Sunday. More on these 2 nice peoples and other 3 friends of them later.

Of all the concern etc

It was never easy. The matter involving heart and emotional and especially when it was mine that we’re talking about. I don’t really think everybody are having same predicament like me, boy! It’s far from it. In fact, I think I am among few unlucky ones in the Love department. Friends been labeling me as being too choosy and fussy when it comes to criterias of my man, but it’s not as easy as choosing fish at the market, aight? So I rationale to myself that it’s perfectly allright to be choosy. I, for one, do not wish to be ended with somebody’s husband (big no!) and worst, regretted the relationship later on. I do admit however that getting into any relationship is like putting your heart as the pawn, and elements of gambling are so glaring, and if you stare for too long you might get blinded yourself! (whatever I’m rambling about?) well, you get my point, ditcha? I believe that the right man will come along. Sooner or later, when I can find every answers to my questions and when it feel perfectly allright to risk everything just to see it works, then I know I found my true love. Finger crossed! Hahaha..so thank you my friends & family for all of your concerns, advices and kind words. Really appreciated it, but as it is, just be happy for me whether I’m single or hitched, will ya? Now bugger off and leave me alone!

On a separate note, Australian Open is reaching quarterfinal stage now. And I’m rooting for Andy Roddick after his superb performance so far. His nice butt is the plus point too!

And finally, I would like to wish my lovely niece, Nur Azizah who will turn 8 tomorrow – A very Happy Birthday! This is my niece whom I told countless (folk, legends, modern, horror, true or fabricated) bedtime stories since she is a baby! And now, even though she is already in school, she is still nagging me to tell her story whenever we meet. Aiyoh! I’m already out of story like 5 years ago, and since then it was always a fabricated one. You know the kind where you started about a boy or girl who doesn’t listen to their parents and ended up in trouble kinda story. Hmm..sweet, sweet girl. But Jijah, please stop fighting with your cousin ok? She’s only 4 years old! And your poor aunty is getting a splitting headache every time you are shouting to each other, and darling, please leave the door as it is, no need to bang it again and again. We heard you all right. Erghh! Kids.

Rainy Friday

Hi Y'all.
Ooh..I’m soo torn between 2 of my favourites – Roddick or Safin? Hmm, it’s 3rd round of Australian Open and I was home early today. No, not purposely for the tennis but I was out of SA since afternoon to collect prizes at KL Sentral office and planned to go to OU to send the voucher’s cheque. However, heavy rain dampened my mood and I decided to straight headed home from KL Sentral. Besides, I was soaking wet and drenched by rain while loading stuff into my car, sheesh!
Another weekend is here, folks! Let’s see, tomorrow I have an invitation for makan2 at Klang and later probably just hangout with Uf* at her father’s restaurant. I have to find time to pass some stuff to friend, and on Sunday am going for either bowling or movie with few other friends. Hmm..why la suddenly got so many things to do?
Personally, if you ask me to choose, I rather have a quiet weekend at home, reading.
But then, once in a while, you get bored sitting just by yourself, aight?

More later. Now, let’s get back to yummy Marat Safin!

Fun Sunday

I know today's already Tuesday, but hey! Sunday was fun!
Met Angah & Co at Suria and accompanied them a while at Isetan for some shopping. Later met Ali*, Ro* & Hubby, Od* and Iv* & Co at Chilli's. We chat, eat, chat some more and keep refilling our (bottomless) drinks! After I had my ice lemon tea for like 7 times, we make a move and decided to get out of KL that evening.
Left my car at Projet Gombak and hopped into Ro* car and headed to Bukit Tinggi. It was my first time there and honestly the places is kinda nice in a quiet and peaceful way albeit the exorbitant newly-enforced charges for every visitors! As a consolotion of some kind, we only have to pay half-price (RM8, still!) because it is already 5 pm. The Colmar Castle is pretty (why I use that word?!) and different, duh! I've never been to any French Chateau, if not I would've been able to make more concrete observation or comparison, well, as in the case..I think it's quite majestic.
However, the Japanese Garden is quite unique. Although we have to walk (and climb) around the path for like 15 minutes, it's beautiful, especially the Koi Pond and natural trees all over the garden.
Then, we rushed to the Rabbit Farm (it's almost the closing time!) and watched the caretaker piled the rabbits and tranported them into their cages nearby.I was like..adoii! as if I can feel the pain of the rabbits! They were practically squashed together, man. Beside the rabbits, they are few donkeys and spotted deers too. We took some pictures using Od* N73 handphone and boy! it was so cool and the pics are crystal clear!
Next stop, Uf* restaurant, Nong Sa Thai at Wangsa Melawati for some dinner. A usual the tomyam is a must! I felt quite sleepy by the time we finished eating, but I'd promised to send Od* to get her car at Shah Alam and the fact that it was raining cats & dogs doesn't help either. Finally, arrived home around 12++ and zzzzz...
On Monday, we started new assignment for the year, but lucky me, I didn't have to go outstation just yet!

Of fun outings!

Hi y’all.
What a weekend so far! I was scheduled to take a half- day off on Friday, but by noon I was still busy finishing off some works which dragged me way past lunch hour and I ended leaving office at usual 5.30 pm. Headed straight to KL only to be stucked in massive Friday eve traffic jam along the Federal Highway. Instant decision was made and I diverted to Asia Jaya for an LRT ride into downtown instead. Arrived at Vistana Hotel and met Angah’s family with Raudhah asking endless questions on why I was so late. Haiyah! That girl really showing early signs of being a nag! Complete with hands on waist and her eyes rolling, too. Without further ado, we make ways to Tasik Titiwangsa for the evening highlight – Eyes on Malaysia! Have you been on the ride? It’s recently unveiled as an attraction in conjunction of Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and honestly, it’s quite impressive and exciting. The ride is smooth and the view is spectacular from the 60 meters-high suspended cabin. Be warned if you’re afraid of heights though, because it can make you feel queasy, I’m sure. Since we took the ride on night time, we only see the lights from surrounding buildings, famous KL landmarks like KLCC and the night view of KL skyline is actually not bad either. Shame I can’t take some nice pictures using Angah’s digital camera, as I didn’t work out the setting beforehand and I’m enjoying the ride too much to be busy with the setting! Another visit in daytime (and probably in weekdays!) would be fun as I love to know how far you’ll be able to see in daylight (if weather permit, that is!) After dinner in kg Bharu, I took the monorail & Putra LRT back to collect my car at PJ and headed home.

Bapak called me this morning and I practically jumping out of bed for shower and rushing to Vistana. Parked and bought a pack of expensive nasi lemak (RM5! it has fried chicken, but still!) from a nearby restaurant and headed to Angah’s room. And this time I finally brought ‘My Heart’ vcd which I secretly borrowed from Raudhah few weeks back and promised to return it back after she had asked me numerous time the whereabouts of the vcd every time we met! Tak bley tahan..

We then proceed for today’s plan – Zoo Negara! This is only my 3rd visit in a span of 20 years. I first went there with my school-visit while I was 9 yrs old and then visited again the zoo last 2 years with friends when we heard they opened at night time. And this time around, is by far most fun visit. The time spent with Raudhah and Jijie showing them around and together we ‘oohh’ and ‘aahhh’ at the animals. There were quite heavy drizzles of rain when we first arrived and 10 minutes later, weather clear off and we walk and walk and walk around the zoo while snapping pictures here and there. Raudhah laughed out loud when I said the giant tortoises are cramming inside their crib to watch tv and later she asked me why the elephant is turning himself into other direction (as in giving us his backside) and pissing there and there without going to toilet? Then, I laughed myself loud!
Jijie loved the Flamingos, (restless) leopard and he was unfazed at all while giving the carrots to the (very hungry) deers. My least favourite is the Reptile House as I can’t really stand to watch every boxes displaying snakes of every kind without feeling as if they are squirming around my neck! Gulp! And I so looking forward to see the Sumatra Tiger only to found out that he’s taking a nap at that time! Oi! Wake up la tiger! No amount of shouting managed to stir him from his slumber though. And yes, lion also sleeping next door. I wonder whether they probably got too much meat for lunch and you know what a heavy tummy done to your eyes, right?
Hippos are the cute lot, and there is also a new baby hippo! Monkeys as usual, are all aggressive in their cages and Jijie keep making ‘Hurrah‘ sounds as if he’s chasing the monkey away from stealing Nenek’s rambutan at home! We then took the train ride (pulled by tractor! Hehe) around the zoo area and later, headed out for a late lunch. I left them at hotel and drove home with a bundle of rambutans courtesy of Mak and smell of elephant dung linger on myself (no, there is no elephant dung on my t shirt, it’s just my mind – too much animals in a day did that to me!)

Tomorrow, I promise Angah for a shopping trip at Suria and then I’ll be having a get together with my favourite group of girls for lunch – old housemates from college days! Wreck havoc lot! we'll behave, I pwomise!

Mr. Tinkerman?..I'm not!

Urrghh..This html coding mumbo jumbo really testing my patience tonight. Hah! At least now I have a nice blue clock , able linking up some sites and a new template (new year, new template?). But how to get rid of that gray colour background from lower part of my side bar? (Aiyoh! Must get help from pro tomorrow!)

My left leg was cramped this morning and I was late for about 1 and 1/2 hour. Hmm..What about my new year resolution to be punctual everyday? well, you know.. shit happens.
In the evening there was a division meeting and The Boss asks us these 2 questions;

- What is your most important contribution to the division? And,
- What is it that you have not done in 2006 and will be doing in 2007?

Let me tell you it’s not that easy to answer them especially the first one. Honestly, I think because through out the year you felt like you’re trying your best to fulfill your responsibility by working together for the betterment of the department, hence it’s a bit tricky to actually single out most important contribution you’ve done in front of other colleagues without sound so important and know-it-all. In my opinion, most of us kinda tone-down our ‘contribution’ and mumble on something more general when answering the question. Or perhaps, it is not our culture to push our chest out (not literally! eh?) and lay down our contribution in words. But somehow it excites us if people noticed and give credit when we’ve done good, right? Well, all in all the boss highlights our weaknesses, pledge for improvement, remind us of our utmost motives yada..yada..yada..etc.

Later after work, I went to collect the dress to wear during our upcoming annual dinner in February. As part of the committee, we got to choose the special outfit and boy! The dress is so gorgeous! Enough said. Kinda looking forward to the event since this is my first time being part of the organizing committee. Although the works involved are not cheese cake either. Hmm..maybe I’ll post some pictures of me having good time during that night? We’ll see.

Love of my life..

(Don’t you just hate it when after you typed most of your thoughts down and suddenly your laptop shut itself down and pfftt! There goes all your entry of the day! Well, I persevere. And now I’m copying/paste this from MS Words instead! Haha)

Well, these 2 cute kids are my niece & nephew (from total of 6 ) But if you’re wondering where are the other 4,let’s save them for other entry, eh? The big sister is known as Raudhah or Odah and that most handsome guy in the neighborhood is going by the name Rafidzi or Jijie. They are both equally naughty, I think. But are so fun to be with! I miss hanging out with them. Even looking at their picture makes me wish I’m at Kg now. And yes, They even make long drive home tolerable. Odah is 4++ yrs old and Jijie just turned 2. They are always hogging the vcd player with her favourites – Barbie movies and his are Ultraman, Kuga and Teletubbies. Raudhah knows how to operate the vcd player and almost everyday, both can be found lying in front of tv watching Home Alone series, Garfields, Harry Potter series and even Titanic (gasp!). I love all my nieces & nephew and privately, I have such high hopes for all of them. My love and prays are always with them. Hoping someday they will make their parents proud, and their Mak Chah too!

On the other note, I am having quite busy day at work. It’s the time of the year when you thought that all loose ends from last year’s work had been tied up nicely, and Tadaa! Here come other loads of work for the year which has already begun pouring! Sheesh! Sometimes, late in evening while shutting down my laptop for the day, I wonder why I’m doing my job, day in day out for almost 5 years now. Not that I despise my job, but on certain days, I wish I’m away doing something else altogether! But then, at the moment I should probably just telling myself to keep slaving on. However nice and rosy my future plans are, I can’t just throw away my job for something which isn’t materializing just yet. You’ll be a fool if you think I’ll stay put and work my ass off here forever, but hey! We’ll see about that. When the time is right, I’ll make my move for sure. You just mark my words, dear.

Later.

Your Hidden Talent
You are both very knowledgeable and creative. You tend to be full of new ideas and potential - big potential.Ideas like yours could change the world, if you build them.As long as you don't stop working on your dreams, you'll get there.

Goodbye 2006..Hola to 2007!

Salam. Hello there.

So, there goes another year. I almost feel that 2006 has gone by in a blink of an eye! and so many things had happened in a year, it doesn't justify to write it all down here (plus I can't recall all things! haha) but some highlights to me are;

Feb - Parts from car were stolen, again! and lost my handphone.

March - My birthday was fun, away for job assignment in Kuantan and got surprise with a birthday cake by officemate & colleagues

April - Got promoted at work.

May/June - counting days in Kuching like crazy! stayed there for like 5 weeks and seriously..the fun has long gone (dear Boss; am not going to Kuching again this year! pleasee.. )
July - In Sabah again. The best assignment of the year, hands down! Spent memorable time with fun-crazy-mental officemates of mine.

August - Did i mention that I broke my wrist? well, somebody broke it actually with super- high-velocity-kick of a futsal ball straight to my open palm. (Sakit giler!) Can't forget the 'crack' sound when my wrist received the impact. But look at the bright side, I got sick leaves for 7 weeks! No pain, No gain! :)

October/November - Raya! best friend back from London, makan, open hses and got to meet old friends

December - Bonus! huahhauaha

well, that's it lah. And here to another prosperous, successful and great year of 2007!
