Time's Up Bush! and Barack's Parade is Starting..

Hi All,

Apparently after the tumultous 2 terms in White House, United States' 43rd President is ready and eager to start a new quiet chapter of his life. Leaving a legacy, be it good or bad is by no means a small feat. Admittedly, Bush mentioned in his last speech last week that there are many instances where he had to make tough decisions and he lives with no regret of them all. Yeah, lucky for you, everytime, he's decision apparently of course in favour to the advantages of the certain quarter of lobbyist, fundraisers, peoples with stakes and certain type of race & also that non-country who loves to bombing and killing Palestine peoples in their own land. Ergh! Pleasee, make way already..Bush. Be gone your legacy with the mistakes that US people made for elected you to the office in the first place for last 8 years.

On the other hand, Barack Hussein Obama is like a fresh breath of air that American needs in this dire economic moments. He has already planned and got approved for his $300 Billion saving plan from the Congress to revive the economy. Well, here's wishing All the best to Mr. Barack Obama and I'm curious to see about his Foreign Policy as whether he'll be taking different approach from his predecessor or more like move along the line of ' if it's not broken then no need to fixed it'. If things will not turn into something different, radically altogether when he's in helm, then I suppose don't be surprise that he'll only be a 1 term-president only! Let's hope not.

Honestly, this world need its Peace. We have to live in tolerant with other races, religions and languages.

At this point and whenever I took time to reflect; Syukur Alhamdulillah and I am feeling grateful and thankful that we're not living in a war zone and doesn't have to see kids were killed in cold blood on daily basis! Astaghfirullahalazim.. Al Fatihah to all muslims who fall in the middle east turnmoil and here's praying for speedy truce talk and end of the hatred.

Salam.

Of My Niece - Nur Raudhah

Nur Raudhah is the eldest daughter of my second sister. She is a smart, cute and funny girl. She can be naughty and clingy to her mom (and me) at times. Nur Raudhah is a pupil at Tadika Bistari Manja Jerantut and now she is in the 6th year old - class. I would say her obsession is all things related to Barbie and her favourite pastime is of course spending time watching Barbie's movies and that got me hooked on them too! Raudhah was born lactose-intolerent and only drink soya-based milk, Isomil which I can't stand its smell and taste until now. And yes, she's still drinking her milk from a bottle. My mission is to get her use a cup instead. Raudhah has a younger brother and they fights a lot but she can be very protective of him sometimes. I love them both to bits. And I love all my nieces & nephews too. Here's to sweet Odah whom I hope will grow and always be an obedient, smart, successful and sweet daughter to her parents! and remains as a lovely niece to her aunt (that's me!)

p/s : She 'coerced' her mom & me to give her presents nicely wrapped with card & ribbon. And reminded us of buying her cake too. Dang!

Love,

Mak Chah

Of resolution and other matters

Hi there..

Why do people always come up with the New Year resolutions? Is it as the reminder of your failure in previous year (to make change or not to repeat mistakes)? Or as motivational or pushing factors so you’ll work your ass towards that goal this year? For whatever reason there are, it’s our pledge to ourselves and I think we should honor it and put effort to make it happen. Problem is, I always forgot about my resolution by end of first quarter of the year. Pleghh! I do hope things will be different this time around. At least, for myself.

I spent the year-end long holiday recently by helping out my sister at her Bridal Shop. It wasn’t a surprise that I am actually enjoying my works there. It feels fine to approach and sell the packages to customers effortlessly. Well, the products/package are all in my head cause we had numerous discussion on what are the best prices for packages that we can offer. And I don’t mind talking and explaining things to people, hence the selling points came naturally, I think. Anyway, my hometown and its surrounding areas is not a big market and customers are fairly easy to please. But of course, there are some people who want everything under the sun and only willing to pay at miniscule price. Aiyoh! How to do business like that? However, the shop is up and running smoothly now and more people are coming everyday. I wish my sister all the best!.

Have you heard of Elephant Sanctuary at Kuala Gandah, Lanchang, Pahang? We, as in myself and nieces and nephew went there recently. It was my first visit but a second one to my nieces & nephew because they already went there with their parents before. The place looks different, they said. Probably because of some development works are taking place right now and to me, that’s just spoilt the looks and feels of the area which is suppose to be a reserved forest area & sanctuary for elephant. And I believe they should maintain more natural green as much as possible. There are 2 elephants that were chained and can be approached and view closely by visitors. The other 3 adults elephants (by the looks from 50 metres away) are roaming freely in the (electric) gated area and can only be observed from a deck nearby. Hope to go there again sometime in future cause I think the elephants are cute!

Til next time..
